Kāʻanapali is a great choice if you want a classic Maui beach vacation with plenty to do nearby. You’ll find beachfront resorts, snorkeling around Black Rock, ocean activities, shopping, and restaurants. It’s especially convenient for families and travelers who like having options close to their hotel.
Best for: Families, first-time Maui visitors, and travelers who enjoy an active resort atmosphere.
Kapalua – Best for Peaceful Luxury and Golf
Kapalua offers a quieter side of Maui, with dramatic coastal views, beautiful walking trails, luxury accommodations, and some of the island’s most memorable golf scenery. It’s a wonderful option if you prefer a slower pace and don’t mind driving a little farther for restaurants and activities.
