My Experience
Playing the Original Course at Gamble Sands was a memorable experience, especially with the sweeping views of the Columbia River and the surrounding landscape. It’s the kind of golf course where the scenery alone makes you want to stop and take pictures!
As a beginner, I appreciated the wide fairways, which made the course feel more welcoming than I expected. But the large greens and strategically placed bunkers presented their own challenges. It’s a good reminder that even when a fairway looks forgiving, getting the ball into the hole can still take some work!
What makes Gamble Sands special is the combination of beautiful scenery and a course that offers plenty of opportunities to learn. For newer golfers who are comfortable playing a full 18 holes, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy the game while continuing to build confidence.
